Aim
The Economics, Data, and Decision Science Master's degree is a comprehensive two-year program offering rigorous training in economic analysis. The program, fully taught in English, combines theoretical economics, applied economics, and machine learning methods for economics. Supported by the GATE Lyon Saint-Étienne CNRS research laboratory, the program benefits from the expertise of research professors, particularly in the fields of game theory, social choice, and public policy evaluation. A strong background in economics or applied mathematics is required. Upon graduation, students can pursue a PhD in economics or embark on their professional careers as economists or data scientists, either in France or internationally.
Who is it for ?
- Students who hold a bachelor's degree and have a good level in economic theory and/or mathematical modelling.
- Students with an economic science background who have sound skills in quantitative techniques.
- Students with a background in mathematics and/or computer science applied to the social sciences.
- Engineering students.

CONSULTEZ LA FICHE MASTER SE² ECONOMICS, DATA, AND DECISION SCIENCE
Le diplôme national de master (DNM) est délivré par un établissement public d'enseignement supérieur comme une université, deux ans après l’obtention du diplôme national de licence. Il vaut 120 ECTS et confère le grade du même nom.
Le master est à la fois un diplôme national de l’enseignement supérieur et un grade universitaire, validant le deuxième cycle de l’enseignement supérieur, soit cinq années d’études après le baccalauréat. C'est un diplôme professionnalisant pour des emplois de niveau cadre (professions intellectuelles) et qui permet de poursuivre vers le diplôme national du doctorat.
