THE TEAM AT THE SAINT-ÉTIENNE SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS

Our courses are taught by lecturers and researchers in economics, mathematics, computer science, management, law and political science. They are mostly from the CNRS GATE research unit, but also from the Institut Camille Jordan and the Hubert Curien, COACTIS and Triangle research units. All the lecturers from the GATE CNRS research unit either teach courses at SE² and/or are involved in research training and supervision of dissertations and theses. The SE² project aims to harness the skills and expertise of our researchers and to develop training programmes that will help our students find employment.

Our multidisciplinary approach, drawing on the contributions of lecturers and researchers from the CNRS GATE and other research units, means that our courses cover the following areas :

• Mathematics, computer science and operational research.The School includes professors and lecturers who are internationally recognised for their research on the design of mathematical tools to aid decision-making.
• Data science. The school’s professors and lecturers are also internationally recognised for their research on data mining, in particular text mining and graph mining, and on estimation methods.
• Political and legal sciences. Our professors and lecturers have specific expertise in local public action, collective decision-making procedures, local and regional authority legislation, and urban studies.
• Management sciences. Our programmes focus in particular on SME development and financing, entrepreneurship, and the analysis of businesses’ international expansion processes.
