The SE² master's programmes prepares students for a wide range of jobs. The programmes taught at the Saint-Étienne School of Economics place strong emphasis on public and private decision support systems, with a particular focus on their application to the fields of innovation, regional development, and collective decision-making.

What next after the master’s?

Our master’s programmes provide you with an excellent foundation for entering the labour market. As an SE2 graduate, you will be prepared for jobs that call for a solid foundation in quantitative economics (in economic research and analysis departments of national and international, private- and public-sector institutions and local and regional authorities). You can expect to be able to use your skills in the following types of work:

  • Public policy management

If you are interested in a career in research or at the higher levels of civil service and in international organisations, where a PhD is a requirement, you will be encouraged to continue on a doctoral programme.
