Political Science Establishment Diploma
Offered in partnership with Sciences Po Lyon, the Political Science Establishment Diploma allows you to follow a selection of the courses given as part of the undergraduate programme at Sciences Po Lyon, at the Saint-Étienne campus.
You will acquire a sound basic knowledge of political science through the following courses:
- Political sociology
- Contemporary French political life
- Philosophy and political doctrines
- Historical sociology of the State
This double degree is prepared over the first two years of the bachelor programme and involves additional class time of two to three hours a week.
The Establishment Diploma offers graduates significant added value, whether they are moving into employment or continuing their studies.

To be awarded the Establishment Diploma, students must at the end of the four terms have achieved an average overall grade of 10/20, calculated taking account of the grades achieved in the four modules. All four modules have the same weighting. If a student has not achieved an average grade of 10/20 for any one of the modules, they will be offered an opportunity to resit a written or oral examination at the end of the term.
Entry requirements for the Political Science Establishment Diploma
- You must have been accepted at SE².
- In July, send your application to your tutor, including:
- Your baccalaureate results
- A cover letter.
You will receive an answer at the end of August.
