The Eiffel Scholarship Program of Excellence

Call for applications is open until January 8, 2026.
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program was established by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs to enable French higher education institutions to attract top foreign students to enroll in their masters and PhD programs.
It gives opportunity to the future foreign decision-makers of the private and public sectors, in priority areas of study, and encourages applicants up to 25 years old from developing countries at master’s level, and applicants up to 30 years old from developing and industrialized countries at PhD level.
2026 CAMPAIGN TIMELINE
- Opening of the call for applications: October, 1st, 2025
- Deadline for the reception of applications by the universities by Campus France: January 8th, 2026 included.
Please note that this timeline does not apply to students who must get in contact with the French universities in order to know their application deadline.
- Publication of results: March, 30th, 2026 onwards

Only applications submitted by French higher education institutions are accepted.

French government grants
These grants (also awarded by the French Ministry for Foreign Affairs) are awarded through the network of French embassies and the Campus France offices.

Specific scholarships awarded by Saint-Étienne School of Economics
- Incoming mobility grants
SE² awards scholarships for international students (600€ per month over 10 months). These scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence. To apply, the student must first have been accepted into one of the school's training programs.
- Outgoing mobility grants
SE² awards scholarships (up to 1500€ for the year) for students of the school wishing to go abroad as part of their training. To apply, the student must be registered in one of the school's training programs and have been accepted into an international exchange program to study at a foreign university.
